Better, faster, cheaper patent intelligence

Delivering results at a reasonable cost.

When we launched FluidityIQ, we knew that if we were going to build a patent intelligence platform it had to be more than “good enough”. It had to provide real advantages to our customers. Our mantra was and is: “Better. Faster. Cheaper.”

Better.

Because of this, we have been thoughtful about making sure that we support our customers’ use cases directly. That means FluidityIQ does not just spit out search results, but it will let you know exactly how and why a patent compares to your specific invention. FluidityIQ can tell you how a patent is unique and will compare the specific features of your invention to the specific claims made across a group of patents. See here for more on our focus on curation.

Faster.

We also recognize that it’s important to find the most relevant patents quickly. For this reason, we spent a year working on AI to help improve patent searching via a state-of-the-art AI search engine that outperforms our peers in tests. See here for our original comparison study. We’ve continued independent testing of our platform against other providers and have even commissioned searches directly to ensure that FluidityIQ stays ahead of the competition. For example, one provider recently upgraded their search to an AI-aided search. And while they have improved considerably, a target patent appears in the top 5 results only 60% of the time on their platform vs. 94% of the time on FluidityIQ in an independent study. That is the difference between a native-AI platform and an AI-enhanced platform.

Cheaper.

Most importantly, we have been able to bring all this technology to bear for customers at a fraction of the cost. The monthly cost for an annual license for FluidityIQ is roughly equivalent to ½ an hour of billable time for an attorney. Using FluidityIQ will let them spend more of their time providing valuable advice and counsel to their clients. For corporate customers who outsource patent searching, the annual license would cost about the same as a single full FTO analysis and up to 40% less than an annual license from our competitors.

Why curation is just as important as searching.
